Overview
The Smart Africa Secretariat is procuring a consultancy to develop a comprehensive Private Sector Engagement Strategy. The strategy will articulate how Smart Africa engages with technology firms, telecom operators, financial institutions, innovators and investors to advance the alliance vision of a single digital market for Africa. It will include partnership frameworks, governance models, value propositions for the private sector, sectoral priorities and an implementation roadmap.
Scope of Work
Inception meeting and review of Smart Africa current private sector engagement, mandates and partnerships. Benchmarking of comparable intergovernmental private sector engagement models. Stakeholder consultations with Smart Africa member states, current private sector partners, prospective partners and ecosystem actors. Drafting of Private Sector Engagement Strategy. Validation workshops. Final strategy and implementation roadmap.
Requirements & Qualifications
Senior consultancy or individual with demonstrated experience in private sector engagement strategies for international or intergovernmental organisations. Knowledge of African ICT, digital and innovation ecosystems. Multilingual (English, French). Strong analytical and stakeholder engagement skills. Compliance with Smart Africa procurement procedures.
Evaluation Criteria
