The National Home Builders Registration Council intends to appoint a single provider of managed cybersecurity services for a five year term, and has opened the requirement to competitive tender. Which security functions would be outsourced, the systems and sites in scope, the service levels expected and any transition obligations are all unstated. Nor does the notice give a contract value, the qualifications or certifications a bidder must hold, or the contents required of a proposal. The council's own line describing the requirement repeats an internal reference rather than adding detail. Anyone weighing a bid has to obtain the bid document itself, since the fields published so far fix only the category of service and the length of the commitment.
