The Aga Khan University Hospital, Nairobi (AKUH,N) is a private teaching hospital and one of the leading tertiary referral and academic medical centres in East and Central Africa. Founded in 1958 as the Aga Khan Hospital Nairobi and elevated to university hospital status in 2006 as part of Aga Khan University, the hospital offers comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services, specialised medical programmes including oncology, cardiology, and transplantation, and operates a network of over 50 outreach clinics across Kenya and the region. AKUH,N is accredited by the Joint Commission International (JCI) and is part of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN).
