Ernest Chemists Limited (ECL) is one of Ghana's most recognised indigenous pharmaceutical companies, founded in 1986 initially as a sole proprietorship pharmacy retail shop and grown into a large integrated pharmaceutical business with manufacturing plants in Tema, wholesale centres, retail outlets, and warehouses across Ghana. Fully Ghanaian-owned, Ernest Chemists manufactures a wide range of pharmaceutical products and operates one of the largest pharmaceutical distribution networks in Ghana. Annual sales revenue approximately USD 52 million makes it one of Ghana's most commercially successful pharmaceutical companies.
