About Ghana Rubber Estates Limited
Ghana Rubber Estates Limited (GREL) is the largest rubber plantation and processing company in Ghana, operating approximately 16,000 hectares of rubber plantations in the Western Region of Ghana. Originally established in the 1960s, GREL is now majority-owned by the French Société Internationale de Plantations d'Hévéas (SIPH, part of Michelin group), with minority ownership by Ghanaian smallholder farmer outgrowers. The company processes natural rubber latex into dry rubber products for export to international tyre and rubber manufacturers.
