Global Shea Alliance

The Global Shea Alliance (GSA) is a non-profit industry association headquartered in Accra, Ghana, representing 560+ members from 35 countries across the shea value chain including women's cooperatives, brands, retailers, suppliers, and NGOs. Founded to promote the sustainable development of the global shea industry, GSA supports the estimated 16 million African women who pick and process shea nuts across the 21 shea-producing countries of Africa. Ghana is one of the leading shea-producing countries alongside Burkina Faso, Mali, Cote d'Ivoire, and Nigeria.
