About Honeywell Group

Honeywell Group is a Nigerian family-owned diversified conglomerate founded in 1972 by Dr Oba Otudeko CFR (1943-2024), a Nigerian businessman, banker, and industrialist born in Ibadan. Dr Otudeko was also Chairman of First Bank of Nigeria Holdings (FBN Holdings) until 2021 and held extensive investments in banking, real estate, hospitality, and manufacturing. Honeywell Group's core businesses span flour milling (Honeywell Flour Mills, founded 1985), real estate (Honeywell Properties), energy (Uniccon Group), telecoms (Anchorage Leisures), and hospitality. Following Dr Otudeko's death in January 2024, the group continues to be managed by the Otudeko family. The Honeywell name came from Dr Otudeko's admiration of the American Honeywell corporation and has no ownership relationship with that company.
