Indorama Eleme Petrochemicals

Indorama Eleme Petrochemicals Limited is a major Nigerian petrochemical and fertiliser manufacturer based in Eleme, Rivers State, operating one of the largest urea fertiliser plants in sub-Saharan Africa with capacity of over 1.5 million metric tonnes per annum. Originally the state-owned Eleme Petrochemicals Company, it was acquired in 2006 by the Indonesian Indorama Corporation (owned by the Lohia family), which has since invested over USD 4 billion in modernisation and capacity expansion. Indorama Eleme is also a leading producer of polyethylene and polypropylene plastics for the Nigerian and West African markets.
