About Kakum National Park Ghana
Kakum National Park is a 375 square kilometre tropical rainforest protected area in the Central Region of Ghana, famous worldwide for its 350-metre-long canopy walkway suspended 40 metres above the forest floor - one of only a few such canopy walks in Africa. The park hosts over 40 species of mammals including forest elephants, 266 bird species, and over 500 butterfly species. Kakum is one of Ghana's premier ecotourism destinations and is managed by the Ghana Wildlife Division.
