Kinapharma Limited is Ghana's leading indigenous pharmaceutical manufacturing, distribution, and marketing company, founded in 1996 by Pharmacist Kofi Nsiah-Poku, a former faculty member at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology's Faculty of Pharmacy and former World Health Organization (WHO) adviser on artemisinin-based combination therapies (ACT). Based in Accra with offices, warehouses, and staff across Ghana plus operations in Niger, Sierra Leone, and Liberia, Kinapharma manufactures over 150 drugs including famous brands Akoma APC, Kwik Action, Magacid, and Rhizin. The company employs nearly 500 people and is part of the Kina Group which also includes HealthiLife Beverages. Kinapharma has won multiple awards including CIMG Manufacturing Company of the Year (2003), and has been a consistent Ghana Export Promotion Authority Gold/Silver Award winner.
