Niger Livestock Sector

Niger has one of the largest livestock populations in West Africa, with over 40 million cattle, sheep, goats, and camels. The livestock sector employs millions of Nigerien pastoralists and is a major source of foreign exchange through exports to Nigeria, Côte d'Ivoire, and other regional markets.
