Nkulenu Industries Limited is one of Ghana's oldest indigenous food processing companies, founded in 1940 by Mrs Esther Ocloo (also known as "Auntie Ocloo"), a pioneering Ghanaian businesswoman and one of the founding mothers of microfinance globally. Based in Accra, Nkulenu produces palm soup base, palm cream, banku mix, Ghanaian tea, jams, and traditional Ghanaian food products. Esther Ocloo was one of the four founders of Women's World Banking (WWB) alongside Michaela Walsh, Ela Bhatt, and Maria Nowak, and is recognised as a global pioneer of women's economic empowerment.
