About Pankrono Pottery Village
Pankrono is a village in the Ashanti Region of Ghana near Kumasi, known as the traditional centre for Ashanti pottery-making. Pankrono women potters produce traditional clay pots, water containers, cooking vessels, and decorative pottery using hand-building techniques passed down through generations. The village represents one of the oldest surviving indigenous Ghanaian craft traditions and operates as a cultural tourism destination.
