Tinapa Business and Leisure Resort

Tinapa Business and Leisure Resort is a free trade zone and resort complex located in Calabar, Cross River State, developed by the Cross River State Government during the administration of former Governor Donald Duke as one of the largest integrated tourism and shopping destinations in West Africa. The resort features wholesale and retail shopping, a waterfront park, a water cinema, a casino, and hotels, and was conceived as a regional shopping and tourism hub for West Africa. While the resort's performance has been mixed due to customs and regulatory challenges, Tinapa remains an ambitious Nigerian tourism infrastructure project.
