About UAC of Nigeria
UAC of Nigeria PLC (UACN) is one of Nigeria's oldest and most-diversified indigenous conglomerates, listed on the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX: UACN). The company traces its Nigerian origins to 1879 as the Royal Niger Company and subsequently operated as the United Africa Company (UAC), a subsidiary of Lever Brothers (later Unilever). It was incorporated in Nigeria in 1931 and listed on the NSE in 1974. Today, UACN operates across food and beverages (Grand Cereals, UAC Foods, Gala sausage rolls, SWAN Natural Spring Water, Supreme Ice Cream, Funtime snacks), paints (Chemical and Allied Products - CAP, the producer of Dulux paints in Nigeria), animal feeds (Livestock Feeds), logistics, and real estate. UACN has been restructured in recent years to refocus on a tighter portfolio of core businesses.
