Centenary Bank Uganda

Centenary Bank is the largest microfinance bank in Uganda and one of the most significant SME lenders in East Africa. The African Guarantee Fund has renewed its partnership with Centenary Bank through a USD 25 million Loan Portfolio Guarantee, which is projected to unlock close to USD 200 million in financing for more than 700 SMEs, particularly in trade and construction sectors. Centenary Bank was honored with the AFAWA Bank of the Year Award at the 2024 African Banker Awards for its support to women SMEs through the Cente SupaWoman programme.
