Joe Poulin

Joe Poulin is a Canadian entrepreneur and angel investor, best known for founding Luxury Retreats, a company specializing in curated luxury vacation rentals. In 1999, at the age of 17, Poulin launched Luxury Retreats, which began with a focus on high-end villa rentals in the Caribbean. The company expanded its offerings to include properties in Mexico, Florida, Central America, and private islands for exclusive clientele. By 2015, Luxury Retreats had raised $11 million in a Series B funding round led by iNovia Capital, aiming to enhance its services and expand into new markets. In February 2017, Airbnb acquired Luxury Retreats, marking its largest acquisition at that time. Following the acquisition, Poulin joined Airbnb to lead its luxury homes division, overseeing the integration of Luxury Retreats' offerings into Airbnb's platform. Poulin's investment focus includes sectors such as technology, media and telecom, e-commerce, mobile, transportation, apps, software, and travel.
