Lagos Angel Network
About Lagos Angel Network
The Lagos Angel Network (LAN) is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering angel investors and facilitating investments into promising early-stage startups across Nigeria. By educating investors and advocating for sustainable policies, LAN aims to strengthen the Nigerian and broader African business ecosystem. LAN's activities include organizing regular venture showcases to facilitate angel investments, providing educational resources to help investors make informed decisions, and engaging in advocacy and mentoring programs to implement policies that benefit startups, founders, and investors. The network is governed by a board comprising experienced professionals such as Yemi Keri (Board Chair), Biola Alabi (Deputy Chair), Kola Aina, Iyinoluwa Aboyeji, and Olumide Soyombo. In December 2025, LAN concluded its inaugural Lagos Angel Fellowship Program, a six-week initiative designed to expand and professionalize Nigeria's angel investor community. This program, delivered in collaboration with the African Angel Academy and supported by the Netherlands Enterprise Agency, provided a structured pathway for professionals to build confidence, sharpen their investment skills, and join a pan-African network of active investors. The fellowship covered key areas such as deal structuring, valuation in emerging markets, and investing in both tech and non-tech deals, aiming to equip a new cohort of investors with the tools to confidently fund Nigeria's most promising startups.
