Evelyn Castle

Evelyn Castle is a health executive and impact investor dedicated to supporting female-owned small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Africa's health sector. She co-founded eHealth Africa in 2010, a non-profit organization that has raised over $250 million and played a significant role in eradicating polio in Nigeria and containing Ebola in West Africa. In 2018, she co-founded EHA Clinics, a network of primary healthcare providers in Nigeria, aiming to become the premier healthcare provider in the country. In January 2021, she co-founded eha Impact Ventures, a philanthropic impact investing enterprise that supports early-stage, high-impact, women-led businesses in Africa by providing flexible, non-equity-based financing and shared business resources. Through eha Impact Ventures, she has invested in several health startups, including EHA Clinics, Ananya Health, and Lifebank, focusing on improving healthcare access and outcomes for women and children in Africa. Her work has been recognized with various awards, including the 2025 Africa Impact Investment Award for Impact Trailblazer. She frequently speaks about gender investing, social impact, and health tech in Africa at conferences and public forums.
