MTC Trust & Corporate Services Limited
About MTC Trust & Corporate Services Limited
MTC Trust & Corporate Services Limited is a Kenyan company that offers independent trustee, fiduciary, and corporate services to local businesses, international investors, private clients, and professional communities across Africa. The company administers assets in several African countries, including Kenya, Uganda, Mauritius, Zambia, DRC, Rwanda, and Nigeria, with an aggregate value of approximately USD 600 million under fiduciary arrangements. Established in 2012, MTC is part of the Meghraj Group, which has nearly 50 years of experience in the trustee industry internationally. The Group previously built Minerva Trust & Corporate Services, an international fiduciary services business with a focus on East Africa and India, administering USD 15 billion of client assets before its sale. MTC offers specialized services to financial institutions, companies, and professional intermediaries where independent fiduciary oversight and asset administration are desirable. Their corporate trust services include the formation, administration, and management of structures such as security trusts, securitization trusts, bond/note trusts, escrow accounts, collateral agents, corporate administration (including SPV administration), ESOP trusts, retirement benefit trusts, and custodial trusts for payment service providers. For private clients, MTC provides trust services to high-net-worth individuals and families in East Africa, assisting in structuring and organizing the ownership, administration, and succession planning of high-value assets like shares in family businesses, properties, and other investments. These services encompass family trust structures, SPVs to hold family assets, family office administration, foundations, charitable trusts, private trust companies (PTCs), and family investment companies. In May 2025, the Capital Markets Authority (CMA) licensed MTC Trust & Corporate Services Limited as a corporate trustee to support the growing Collective Investment Schemes (CIS) market in Kenya. This licensing enables MTC to provide oversight for investment vehicles such as unit trusts, mutual funds, and other collective investment structures, underscoring the company's commitment to strengthening investor protection and supporting the growth of a robust, transparent capital markets ecosystem in Kenya. The move reflects MTC's dedication to offering comprehensive fiduciary and trustee services to meet the evolving needs of investors in the region.
