About Adanwomase Kente Weavers
Adanwomase is a village in the Ashanti Region of Ghana, north of Kumasi, recognised as one of the traditional centres of Asante kente cloth weaving alongside Bonwire. The Adanwomase community has been practising traditional kente weaving for generations and operates as a living cultural tourism destination where visitors can watch artisans at work on traditional looms and purchase handwoven kente directly from weavers. Adanwomase represents a successful example of cultural heritage tourism and indigenous craft preservation.
