About Cape Epic Mountain Bike Race
The Absa Cape Epic is a pioneering eight-day mountain bike stage race held annually in the Western Cape, South Africa since 2004, covering over 600 kilometres and 16,000+ metres of climbing through the Cape Winelands and fynbos mountains. Known as "The Untamed" and considered the toughest mountain bike race in the world, the Cape Epic attracts professional teams from across the globe including multiple Tour de France and Olympic medallists, and is one of South Africa's most iconic international sporting events.
