About Christie Brown Fashion House
Christie Brown is Ghana's most internationally-recognised luxury fashion house, founded in 2008 by Aisha Obuobi Ayensu, a Ghanaian-trained designer (University of Ghana psychology degree plus Joyce Ababio College of Creative Design) who named the brand after her grandmother, a Ghanaian dressmaker. Based in Osu, Accra, the Made-in-Ghana luxury brand reimagines traditional artisanal techniques into modern silhouettes, producing bespoke gowns, ready-to-wear, and accessories. Aisha Ayensu has dressed Beyoncé, Genevieve Nnaji, Jackie Appiah, and other international celebrities, and was the only Ghanaian label chosen to showcase at Arise L'Afrique-á-Porter during Paris Fashion Week 2010. Named one of Forbes' 30 Most Promising African Entrepreneurs in 2016, and winner of African Designer of the Year at the Glitz Style Awards Ghana in 2018 and 2019. Vogue UK has featured her as a global designer alongside Oswald Boateng and Adrian Sauvage.
