mPedigree Network is a Ghanaian indigenous technology SME founded in 2007 by Bright Simons, a Ghanaian social entrepreneur and innovator. mPedigree operates a mobile-based product authentication platform that allows consumers to verify whether pharmaceuticals, agro-inputs, and consumer products are genuine by sending an SMS with a unique code. The technology has been adopted by multiple African countries, pharmaceutical manufacturers, and government agencies to combat counterfeit drugs and products. Bright Simons has been widely recognised as one of Africa's most innovative social entrepreneurs and a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum.
