Ndebele Artists Association

The Ndebele Artists Association represents Ndebele women artists in Mpumalanga and Limpopo Provinces, South Africa, famous for their distinctive geometric house painting, intricate beadwork, and colourful traditional dress. The Ndebele painting tradition was made internationally famous by artist Dr Esther Mahlangu (born 1935), who has painted BMW Art Cars, Fiat cars, and murals for Rolls-Royce, British Airways, and international museums. Ndebele artists supply traditional crafts to galleries, tourism sites, and international collectors.
