Notore Chemical Industries

Notore Chemical Industries PLC is Nigeria's largest urea and ammonia fertiliser producer, listed on the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX: NOTORE). The company operates a large integrated petrochemical complex in Onne, Rivers State, originally built in 1987 as the National Fertilizer Company of Nigeria (NAFCON) and privatised in 2005 to Notore Chemical Industries. The Onne plant has a capacity of 500,000 metric tonnes of urea and 350,000 metric tonnes of ammonia per annum. Notore was founded by Nigerian businessman Onajite Okoloko.
