Description
Two parallel works contracts awarded to TATA for the extension of the Sanankoroba substation in Mali. Contract 1 was signed between the Mali Electricity Sector Improvement Project 3 (PASEM) and TATA for an amount of USD 2,574,037.72 covering design and installation services. Contract 2 was signed between the Guinea-Mali Interconnection Project (PIEGM) and TATA for an amount of USD 5,498,779.50 covering materials and equipment of foreign origin. Since January 2024 the execution of works accelerated and reached an overall progress rate of 69 percent. The main equipment of the substation, including the transformer, was delivered to Mali in early October 2024. Completion of the extension works is scheduled for June 2025. The combined contract value across both PASEM and PIEGM components is USD 8,072,817.22. TATA is the only contractor explicitly named in the publicly disclosed Implementation Status Report for the contracts of the Guinea-Mali Interconnection Project.
