Description
Works contract under the Guinea-Mali Interconnection Project (P166042). Scope covers engineering and design, supply of conductors, pylons and accessories, foundations, erection and stringing of the 54 km transmission line section between Siguiri (Guinea) and the Mali border. Initial contract value EUR 7,299,714.00, increased by a price adjustment of EUR 2,232,604 representing 30.58 percent of the original contract. As of 30 September 2024 the cumulative physical progress was 73.63 percent, with 91 of 167 excavations completed, 71 of 167 foundations installed, and 35 of 167 pylons erected. Works were suspended for nearly two months in July and August 2024 due to flooding from heavy seasonal rains and resumed in September 2024. The implementation schedule was revised and completion was rescheduled to 30 April 2025. Contractor name not disclosed in the public Implementation Status Report; identification is held in the World Bank STEP system, which is not publicly accessible.
