Description
The AfDB Transaction Guarantee facility, launched in 2021, provides up to 100% guarantees to confirming banks on trade transactions originating from African issuing banks. The facility de-risks trade finance flows for partner banks, enabling them to extend more credit to African corporate clients. Recent deployments include EUR 25 million for CCA-Bank Cameroon, USD 20 million for BCI Mozambique, and USD 30 million for Family Bank Kenya. The facility complements the TFLOC and Africa SME programmes.
