Established in 2019, the company offers an all-in-one smart school management system that automates various administrative tasks, including library management, fee collection, attendance tracking, report cards, admissions, and live classes. Their mission is to make modern technology affordable for schools in Uganda, thereby bridging the learning gap among institutions. Since its inception, AkademikIT has served over 310,000 students, supported more than 25,000 teachers, and connected with over 300 schools across the country. The company is ISO 9001:2025 certified, reflecting its commitment to quality and continuous improvement. AkademikIT's solutions have been recognized for enhancing transparency and efficiency in the education sector, particularly in rural areas where access to resources is limited. By automating administrative tasks and fostering communication among stakeholders, AkademikIT aims to revolutionize Uganda's education system, making it more inclusive, equitable, and effective. The company's founder, Stephen Okhutu, is a registered investor with the Uganda Investment Authority and a certified ISO lead implementer.
