Kiva Uganda

Kiva Uganda is a microfinance institution dedicated to empowering small businesses across Uganda by offering accessible loans. Through its platform, individuals worldwide can lend as little as $25 to support these businesses, promoting financial inclusion and sustainable development. The organization focuses on sectors such as agriculture, education, energy, environment, food security, health, human rights, humanitarian aid, peace and conflict resolution, research, technology and innovation, social inclusion, water and sanitation, and women's empowerment. With a minimum loan amount of $25 and a maximum of $10,000, Kiva Uganda enables a wide range of lenders to participate in supporting Ugandan entrepreneurs. The institution operates under the broader Kiva network, which has facilitated over $1.68 billion in loans globally, maintaining a repayment rate of 96.3%.
