Kampala Angel Investment Network (KAIN) is a not-for-profit entity based in Kampala, Uganda, that brings together innovators, entrepreneurs, and angel investors with the mutual objective of bringing ideas to life. KAIN profiles promising ideas and links them with investors and partners to breathe new life into ventures. Motivated by the number of early-stage businesses with significant growth prospects and the potential to generate superior returns, KAIN convenes quarterly to review business pitches. Meetings are open to members only, after which interested angels engage directly with founders to carry out due diligence, negotiate investment terms, and finalize legal documents. Each member makes individual investment decisions but collaborates in due diligence. KAIN funds and welcomes the opportunity to work with dynamic and astute entrepreneurs, especially those open to taking advice.
