ThriveAgric is an agricultural technology company focused on empowering smallholder farmers and promoting food security. It provides technology-driven services that connect farmers to finance, best practices, and markets for their commodities. ThriveAgric serves the broader agriculture value chain, including food producers, financiers, processors, and consumers. It was founded in 2016 and is based in Abuja, Nigeria. The company operates a proprietary Agriculture Operating System (AOS), which equips field agents with mobile apps to map and record detailed data on farmer lands, assess input usage and needs, monitor crop performance, track harvests, and support post-harvest handling and processing. This data-driven approach has enabled ThriveAgric to onboard over 800,000 farmers across more than 2,600 communities in Nigeria. ThriveAgric's impact includes providing over $150 million in financing to support 200,000 tons of grain production and the raising of 4 million poultry birds. In a recent growing season, its rice, maize, and soybean farmers recorded harvests that were about three times the national average. The company now has its sights set on expanding to new countries and growing its network to 10 million farmers by 2027 while adding thousands of new field agents.
