Scope of Work

Requirements & Qualifications

The bidding document in English Language may be purchased by interested eligible Bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of TZS 500,000 or its equivalent in freely a convertible currency. Bidders should note that to qualify for award of the contract they are required to meet certain minimum qualifying criteria as provided in Section III: Evaluation and Qualification Criteria (without Prequalification Criteria) of the Bidding Document which includes; Experience as prime contractor they should have successfully completed at least two (2) contracts of similar nature and complexity within the last ten (10) years, each of minimum value TZS 10 billion or one contract with minimum value of TZS 20 billion; Average Annual Turnover of TZS 25 billion calculated as total certified payments received for contracts in progress or completed, within the last five (5) years, divided by 5 years; Minimum amount of liquid assets and/or credit facilities net of other contractual commitments of TZS 8.0 billion; and Further details and complete qualification requirements are provided in the Bidding Documents. Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 10:00 A.M on 2nd November, 2026. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected and partial bids, electronic bids, bids sent by facsimile, bids not received, not opened and not read out in public at the bid opening ceremony shall not be considered for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances. The bids must be submitted in one (1) original and three (3) copies and the outer envelope of the bids must be clearly marked "Bids for Construction of Lwanji I Bridge (200m) span along Mtowisa, Ilemba Road Section, Tender No.: AE/001/2026/27/HQ/W/18 (TZ-TANROADS-564086-CW-RFB)”. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid-Securing Declaration. A combined Site Visit and Pre-Bid Meeting will be held on 12th October, 2026 at 10:00 Hours local time at the offices of the TANROADS Regional Manager’s Office, Rukwa Region. The visit will commence at the Rukwa Regional Manager’s Office. Attention is drawn to the Procurement Regulations requiring the Borrower to disclose information on the successful bidder’s beneficial ownership, as part of the Contract Award Notice, using the Beneficial Ownership Disclosure Form as included in the bidding document.
