IUCN ESARO has issued a Request for Applications for sub-grants under the Community Resilience Facility (CRF) in Kenya. The CRF provides catalytic funding to community-based organisations and local NGOs implementing nature-based community resilience initiatives in priority landscapes. Each sub-grant is up to 6 months with a maximum value of CHF 100,000.

Implement a community resilience project per the approved CRF concept, addressing climate adaptation, ecosystem restoration, sustainable livelihoods or related themes. Engage target communities in design and implementation. Deliver agreed activities and outputs. Submit narrative and financial reports per IUCN sub-grant requirements. Coordinate with IUCN ESARO CRF management team. Comply with IUCN safeguarding and ESMS policies.

Legally registered community-based organisation, NGO, or community trust in Kenya. Demonstrated community engagement and project management track record. Sound financial management capacity. Existing relationships in target landscapes. CRF sub-grant application form completed per the template. IUCN Declaration of Undertaking. Compliance with IUCN safeguarding policies.

CRF standard application review: eligibility check, technical review (relevance, design quality, community engagement, gender and safeguarding integration, sustainability), financial review. Award to top-ranked applications within available budget.
