Its avocado packhouse is FSSC 22000 certified; its production holds GlobalG.A.P, GRASP, SPRING, Halal, SMETA, and Rainforest Alliance certifications. The Macadamia Processing Plant has an installed capacity of 2,000 tons of saleable kernel, making it one of the largest in East Africa. In 2021 Kakuzi became the first corporate in Sub-Saharan Africa to establish an Independent Human Rights Advisory Committee, chaired by former Attorney General Prof. Githu Muigai.
