Kenya Breweries Limited (KBL) is Kenya's largest beer brewery and the flagship subsidiary of East African Breweries PLC (EABL), which is Kenya's largest manufacturing company by revenue and is listed on the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE: EABL). Founded in 1922 by brothers George and Charles Hurst in Ruaraka, Nairobi, Kenya Breweries Limited brews and distributes iconic beer brands including Tusker (Kenya's national beer, launched 1923), Pilsner, White Cap, Guinness, and Senator Keg (affordable bulk beer targeted at low-income consumers). EABL is majority owned by Diageo plc of the UK and has operations across Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, and South Sudan. Kenya Breweries' Tusker brand is among the most recognised African beer brands globally.
