Ozow Payments

Ozow is a South African instant EFT (electronic funds transfer) payment company founded in 2014 by Thomas Pays, Mitchell Dauncey, and Lyle Eckstein, enabling South African consumers to pay for online purchases directly from their bank accounts without needing a credit card. Based in Cape Town, Ozow has become one of South Africa's most widely-adopted alternative payment methods and serves major South African e-commerce retailers, and raised a USD 48 million Series B in 2021 led by Tencent.
