About Royal Media Services
Royal Media Services (RMS) is Kenya's largest privately-owned broadcasting company, founded by S.K. Macharia (Samuel Kamau Macharia), a veteran Kenyan businessman, political commentator, and former parliamentary candidate. The group operates Kenya's most-watched television station Citizen TV, the vernacular TV channel Inooro TV, and 14 radio stations broadcasting in English, Kiswahili, and multiple Kenyan vernacular languages including Kikuyu (Inooro FM), Luhya (Mulembe FM), Luo (Ramogi FM), Kamba (Musyi FM), Kalenjin (Chamgei FM), Kisii (Egesa FM), Meru (Muuga FM), and others. Royal Media Services has been instrumental in the democratisation of Kenyan media and is known for its deep reach into vernacular audiences across the country, giving it the largest aggregate broadcast footprint of any Kenyan media house.
