Anthony Ikemefuna Idigbe

Dr. Anthony Ikemefuna Idigbe is a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) and the Senior Partner at PUNUKA Attorneys & Solicitors, a leading law firm in Nigeria. With over four decades of experience, he has specialized in corporate governance, insolvency, business restructuring, arbitration, dispute resolution, privatization, capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, and oil and gas. He was licensed to practice law in Nigeria in 1983 and in Ontario, Canada, in 2016. He holds multiple advanced degrees, including a doctorate in cross-border insolvency from Osgoode Hall Law School, York University, Toronto, Canada. In addition to his legal practice, Dr. Idigbe has been actively involved in various corporate governance roles. He was appointed as an Independent Non-Executive Director of PZ Cussons Nigeria Plc in March 2025. He has also served as the Chairman of The Tourist Company of Nigeria Plc (TCN) and Capital Hotels Plc, overseeing significant developments in these organizations. His leadership in TCN was marked by efforts to stabilize the company's governance structure, despite facing challenges related to regulatory oversight and shareholder disputes. Dr. Idigbe's expertise extends beyond the legal and corporate sectors. He has contributed to the development of the Delta Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (DACCIMA), serving as its president and establishing an Arbitration Centre in Asaba to serve the entire Southern states.
