About Oman Technology Fund
Established in 2016, Oman Technology Fund (OTF) is a government-backed venture capital firm headquartered in Muscat, Oman. The fund aims to position Oman as a leading hub for technology innovation in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. OTF focuses on investing in early-stage technology startups, providing them with the necessary resources, mentorship, and funding to scale their operations and achieve sustainable growth. OTF operates through three distinct investment programs tailored to different stages of a startup's lifecycle. The 'otf Techween' program offers pre-seed funding of $50,000, targeting idea-stage ventures. The 'otf Wadi Accelerator' provides seed funding of approximately $100,000, supporting acceleration-stage companies. For growth-stage firms, the 'otf Jasoor Ventures' program invests between $500,000 and $3 million, with additional follow-on funding available. These initiatives are designed to foster a vibrant startup ecosystem in Oman and the broader MENA region, contributing to the development of a knowledge-based economy and the advancement of the information and communications technology (ICT) sector. Through its strategic investments and support programs, Oman Technology Fund continues to play a pivotal role in nurturing innovative technology companies, thereby enhancing Oman's position as a preferred destination for entrepreneurs and investors in the region.
