Energy Catalyst Round 11 2026 (Innovate UK)

Energy Catalyst Round 11 from Innovate UK (part of UKRI) provides up to GBP 7 million in grants for clean energy access projects in ODA-eligible countries including sub-Saharan Africa. Individual grants range from GBP 50,000 to GBP 5 million across three strands (early/mid/late stage). Projects must address both energy access and clean energy, contributing to SDGs 7 (Affordable & Clean Energy) and 13 (Climate Action). The deadline is 25 March 2026. Lead applicants must be UK-based, but projects must involve at least one partner with a legal entity in sub-Saharan Africa, South Asia, Indo-Pacific, or Latin America.

GBP 50,000 to GBP 5 million per project, technical and grant support across early/mid/late stages, alignment with SDG 7 and 13, partnerships with local African organisations, and pathway to commercial deployment.

UK-based lead applicant. Project must involve at least one partner with legal entity in sub-Saharan Africa, South Asia, Indo-Pacific, or Latin America. Project must address both clean energy and energy access in ODA-eligible countries. Single partner cannot account for more than 70% of eligible costs.
