About Bui Power Authority
Bui Power Authority is the Ghanaian state-owned power entity operating the Bui Hydroelectric Dam on the Black Volta River in Bono Region, Ghana. The 400 MW Bui Dam was commissioned in 2013 and is Ghana's third major hydroelectric project after the Akosombo Dam (Volta Lake) and Kpong Dam. The authority supports the development of surrounding communities through power generation and social infrastructure investment.
