Ola Brown, born Olamide Orekunrin in 1986 in London, is a British-Nigerian medical doctor and entrepreneur. She studied medicine at the Hull York Medical School and later founded Flying Doctors Nigeria in 2007, West Africa's first indigenous air ambulance service. The company provides medical transportation, medevac, and emergency assistance services across the region. In 2018, she co-founded Greentree Investment Company, an early-stage venture capital firm that invests in African technology startups, including fintech, media, SaaS, agri-tech, manufacturing, e-commerce, health tech, and edutech. Notably, Greentree exited its investment in Paystack when it was acquired by Stripe in 2020. In 2019, she founded The Flying Doctors Healthcare Investment Company, focusing on investments in hospital construction, diagnostics, health facility management, pharmaceutical retail, and air ambulance services across Africa. She has been recognized as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum in 2013 and is a member of the Aspen Institute's New Voices Fellowship. Her work continues to impact healthcare and technology sectors across the continent.
