Women's Angel Investor Network

Established in 2014, Women's Angel Investor Network (WAIN) is a Dubai-based angel investment group dedicated to empowering women entrepreneurs in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. WAIN aims to build an informed ecosystem of women investors who support women entrepreneurs in the Arab world. The network focuses on investing in companies with at least one female founder or co-founder who is also on the management team. In addition to providing financial support, WAIN offers training in due diligence and investment strategy to build a strong network of knowledgeable women investors. Over the years, WAIN has screened over 200 women-led companies and made multiple investments in the MENA region. The network is led by women and financed by women angels, reflecting its commitment to promoting gender diversity in the investment landscape. WAIN's mission is to democratize access to capital by providing investment opportunities to individuals and facilitating capital-raising for entrepreneurs. The network continues to operate, managing its portfolio and making follow-on investments in existing portfolio companies, while not actively raising new funds. WAIN's efforts contribute to the growth and success of women-led startups in the MENA region, fostering innovation and economic development.
