Finding a tender

The board, the seven filters, what each sort order actually does, and saving a search so it comes back to you.

The same board serves tenders, funding calls and programmes. /tenders, /funding and /programs are three views of it, and /opportunities is all three together. Contract awards sit apart at /contract-awards, because an award is history and you cannot apply to it.

What order the board is in before you touch anything

The board opens on Open first. That orders calls you can still act on above ones you cannot, and inside the open ones it puts the soonest deadline first. The point of it is that the first page is never a page of expired tenders.

Open first is not offered on the awards archive, because every row there carries the same status and the control would be a switch that does nothing.

Sort byWhat it actually orders on
Open firstOpen and closing soon above closed, then soonest deadline. The board default.
NewestWhen the record was published here, most recent first.
DeadlineClosing date, soonest first. What closes today is at the top.
Largest amountThe value on the record. Records with no value published fall below.
Most viewedHow often the record has been opened on this platform. It is a fact about our readers, not about the tender.
OldestThe reverse of Newest. Useful for working through a backlog.

Searching by words

The box above the list searches the title, the summary, the organisation, the description, the category, the country, the sector and both reference numbers. It does not search the body of an attached document, so a word that appears only inside a PDF will not find the tender.

A search that matches nothing says so: "No matching opportunities", with a suggestion to remove a filter. It never quietly shows you unfiltered rows underneath, so if you see results, they matched.

To search everything on the platform at once, including companies, awards and articles, use site search instead. It reports how many of its sections were searched and how many came back empty.

The seven filters

Press Filters above the list. Nothing narrows until you press Apply filters, and Reset all clears every control and takes the parameters back out of the address.

FilterWhat to know about it
CountryEach option carries its own count in brackets. After applying, the total should equal that number.
Organisation (buyer or funder)The body running the call, as the notice records it. On a tender or an award that is the buyer; on a funding call it is the funder. It was labelled "Funder / Organisation" until 2026-09-07, which was wrong on the two types that make up almost the whole board.
CategoryThe procurement or funding category the notice was filed under.
Opportunity sizeMicro under 10K, Small 10K to 100K, Medium 100K to 1M, Large 1M to 10M, Mega over 10M, and Undisclosed. The figures are US dollars. They were one decade higher until September 2026, when they were corrected to the ladder the records are actually banded on. Undisclosed is a large group: 2,729 published records carry it, 1,982 of them tenders out of 2,270, so filtering on any other size band drops seven tenders in eight.
StatusFour options: Open, Closing soon, Closed, Awarded. Cancelled is a badge a record can carry and is not one of the four, so there is no filter that lists cancelled notices.
CurrencyThe currency the value was published in.
