Works, with a limit

The match scout

Reads the notices themselves rather than the ranking, quotes why each one fits, and puts what it finds on your tracker. It can be taken back.

Where it is
Matched for you, then the section headed The scout

Matched for you ranks opportunities against the sectors and country you set on your profile. The scout is a different and slower thing that sits on top of it: it reads the notices and tells you, in the notice's own words, why each one fits and what would rule you out.

It is the only tool on this platform that changes your data. What it finds, it puts on your application tracker.

What it reads

  • The interests you set on Profile and interests: your sectors, your country and the sentence describing what you are looking for.
  • The text of the open notices it is considering.
  • Nothing about your other members, your documents or your other records.

What it will not say

  • It will not tell you why something fits in its own words. Each card quotes the notice itself for the reason, so you can check the quotation against the record.
  • It carries a heading on every card reading "What would rule you out", and it fills it. A card with nothing under that heading says so explicitly rather than leaving it blank.
  • It will not run before you have told it what you are looking for. With no interests set there is nothing to match against.
  • It does not delete anything of yours, and its undo is built around that promise.

What it costs

  • Insider only.
  • AI requests from your daily allowance, plus a usage meter of its own that counts runs rather than requests.
  • Time. It streams a list of stages with a clock reading "Running for" and it is meant to be slow.
  • It writes to your tracker. That is a cost of a different kind and it is the reason the next section exists.

Running it

  1. Set your interests first on Profile and interests. Without them the scout has nothing to match against.
  2. Open Matched for you and find the section headed The scout.
  3. Press Scout these for me. The button changes to Reading and a live list of stages appears with a running clock.
  4. When it finishes, the panel reports a number "read in" a time and the sentence "They are now on your tracker."
  5. Read the cards. Each quotes the notice for why it fits and carries a "What would rule you out" heading.
