What All Business Africa is
The four kinds of record this platform holds, where they come from, and what it does not hold.
All Business Africa is a record of business opportunity across Africa, assembled from published sources and kept in one place so that you can search it, filter it, and be told when something new matches what you do.
Almost everything on it comes from somewhere else. Procurement agencies, development banks, government gazettes and funders publish notices; this platform reads them, files them, and links back to the original. That shapes what you can expect from it, so it is worth saying plainly at the start: where a notice is thin, this platform is thin, and it will say so rather than fill the gap in.
The four kinds of opportunity

All four sit together on the opportunities board, and the live count of each is on the home page. The counters there read from the database at the moment you load the page, which is why this guide points you at them instead of printing a number that would be stale by the time you read it.
The directories, which are not opportunities
Alongside the opportunity records the platform keeps reference directories. They are there to answer "who is this" when a name appears on a notice or an award.
- Companies, the business directory. Most company profiles carry a claim link, so somebody who works there can ask for the owner view. See Your company profile.
- Buyers, the public bodies that award contracts, each with its own award history.
- Investors and investments, capital providers and the deals recorded against them.
- People, named individuals derived from the records that mention them.
- Countries, one profile per country with World Bank indicator series attached.
- Sectors and events.
