GET.invest
About GET.invest
GET.invest is a European programme that mobilises investment in clean energy projects in developing countries. It supports project and business developers, financiers, and regulators to build sustainable energy markets. The programme offers services such as market information, a funding database, matchmaking events, and access-to-finance coaching and advisory, connecting projects and companies with financiers and vice versa. GET.invest operates across sub-Saharan Africa, the Caribbean, and the Pacific, aiming to close the gap between finance demand and supply in the clean energy sector. Since its inception in 2016, GET.invest has supported over 600 projects and companies, driving energy market development and unlocking partnerships and investment. The programme is co-funded by the European Union, Germany, Norway, the Netherlands, Sweden, and Austria, and is implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH. Through its collaborative approach, GET.invest contributes to major political initiatives of its donors and works closely with national and international partners to ensure a good flow of information and build sustainable market structures in partner countries and regions. By working directly with financiers, GET.invest ensures their requirements and expectations in terms of project proposals are met, thereby facilitating the mobilisation of investments in clean energy projects in developing countries.
